What a Fantastic Festability 2022!
Wow what a day! 😁
We've just had the most brilliant day supporting the team at Festability to pull off a fantastic comeback for 2022! The team and families had a fantastic Saturday enjoying live music, a fun fair, exciting workshops and yummy food & drink, a fantastic opportunity to unwind and celebrate Pride Month too 🏳️🌈!
A big thank you to our Fostering Together volunteers Jo & Alice who also supported the team in running the Fostering Together and Festability stands. 👏👏
It goes without saying, but we're super excited for the next Festability - watch this space!

What is Festability?
An inclusive music festival for people with disabilities and their families and careers to enjoy - accessibility & adaptations all in mind!
Who are Festability?
Three mums of children with disabilities and additional needs. Debs was inspired when sat, with glass of wine in hand, and saw something on the BBC about a festival held in the North East and thought “why not here”?. She immediately put a shout out to ask who would be keen to help make this a reality.
- Debs – “Mum of three children with a variety of special educational needs and disabilities. We have autism, severe visual impairment, hydrocephalus, oral dyspraxia, dyspraxia, global development delay, dyslexia and quite a few more to add to the mix. Life is never dull.”
- Vanessa – “Mum of two sons with autism. The eldest has extremely challenging behaviour, so I really understand the need to get this festival right for all types of disabilities.”
- Carrie – “Mum of a grown up son with cerebral palsy, so I’ve lived with the frustrations surrounding parking, accessibility and all the other issues that inherently affect those in wheelchairs.”
