Vicky's role at Fostering Together involves her sourcing, triaging and coordinating referrals within the community, requiring a deep understanding of our community, and building close relationships with our partners in children's service authorities across the country.
Vicky began working with children with complex needs at the age of 16 and, before studying Social Work. After several years in residential care, I trained as a teacher specialising in children with Special Educational Needs. Following this, she moved into residential children’s homes supporting children in care who have additional needs. From this role of direct support, Vicky identifies this as one that inspired her into the fostering sector, in her interest in supporting young people to find a well-matched, stable home with foster carers that will support them to thrive.
