Reasons to Foster with Fostering Together

Those who follow us on social media may have seen our recent series of postings of reasons to foster with Fostering Together. We've designed our service based on our values and building a fairer, more supportive relationship between the agency and the families who put in the work day-in & day-out. We aren't saying these are the reasons that a family should get into fostering, but these are the reasons why you should consider working with us and letting us support you on your fostering journey.

Reason 1 - Fairer Pay and Benefits

We offer fair pay and benefits to our foster carers, at competitive rates which reflect your contribution to the care of children and your ongoing professional development after approval. We strive to recognise the skills, time and expertise foster carers bring to fostering by offering fair pay and benefits in addition to the support and development we provide.

A family with Fostering Together could earn from £450 to £700 per week for each child in their care.

In addition, we offer additional paid roles for families who want to get involved further in developing the Fostering Together service.

Reason 2 - Meaningful Training & Development

We commit to meaningful training and development for our families, allowing you to create your own learning pathway in your fostering career.

We provide tiered-training, according to your fostering expertise, and personalised learning and development plans, meaning you'll always be developing with us.

As well as this, we're committing to making learning more accessible, and giving you opportunities to demonstrate your own learning and research in your online development portfolios.

Reason 3 - Wrap-Around Support

We offer comprehensive and 'wrap around' support from our friendly and knowledgeable team of staff and foster carer ambassadors.

You'll have plenty of opportunities to meet other like-minded people with regular social events for fostering families and children and young people.

We're all in it together at Fostering Together, so you'll have access to our wide network of specialist and professional support services, peer support from others in your local fostering community and the reassurance and guidance from our team just a message or phonecall away.

Reason 4 - Sharing Successes

We all share in our successes at Fostering Together.

With our mentorship schemes, opportunities for everyone to participate in learning and development and celebrations of the positive outcomes we create for children in care, everyone will have a chance to be celebrated or have the opportunity to get more involved in the fostering community.

Our reliable team all come from a background in the fostering sector, bringing combined expertise in child safeguarding, child education, health, social care, operations management and developing professional people.

Our experience and established networks mean that we're well-equipped to support families fostering children with wide-ranging needs, including disabilities, sensory impairments and complex health needs.
