Amy C receives her award

Recognising those with Big Hearts - Amy (Lead Pharmacy Technician)

Submitted by fosteringtogether on 22 May 2025

Fostering Together launched the Big Heart for Children with Disabilities initiative in 2024, seeking to say our collective 'thank you's to those wider teams around the children we have the privilege to support that have amazing impacts on their lives, be it through the health & medical inputs, therapeutic support and more.

Neil, Matt and Amy this time took a trip to surprise Amy Cresswell, Lead Pharmacy Technician for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight following a lovely nomination by foster carers Toni & Joe, who wanted to thank her her contributions to families she works with.

The team surprised Amy with her award

Amy has supported foster carers and parents in the local community by resolving medication shortages to securing life-changing supplies, going above and beyond to ensure children thrive.

Toni shared:

"She is one of a kind and just incredible at her job. She has the highest of standards and genuinely cares, which as a parent & carer, makes ALL the difference."

Matt presented an award with foster carer and young lady E!

The Big Heart for Children with Disabilities Award was a new initiative introduced by Fostering Together to celebrate amazing and under-appreciated people in the wider reaches of teams working with children and thank them for amazing impact they have for children who have disabilities, both those in foster care and not.
